The death toll from measles continues to rise across the country. Five more children have died of measles and its symptoms in the last 24 hours. At the same time, concerns about the public health situation have deepened as hundreds of new cases have been identified.
The regular report of the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday (July 12) said that four children have died of measles symptoms in the past 12 hours. In addition, one more person has died of measles infection confirmed by tests. As a result, the total number of deaths due to measles and its symptoms in the country since March 15 this year has increased to 758.
According to the report, 90 new cases of measles have been confirmed in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 879 more people have shown symptoms of the disease. With this, a total of 13,500 people have been diagnosed with measles in the country since March 15 and 111,480 people have shown symptoms of measles.
According to the data of the Directorate General of Health, a total of 94,340 people were admitted to the hospital with measles and its symptoms from March 15 to July 12 of this year. Of them, 90,605 people recovered and were discharged from the hospital after treatment. To deal with the situation, the Directorate General of Health has urged the infected to seek immediate treatment and participate in the vaccination program.
