According to the Department of Health’s regular measles bulletin released on Saturday, 92 people have died of confirmed measles in the infection situation that began on March 15 this year. Fifty-six people also died of measles. As a result, the total death toll from measles and measles-related symptoms has increased to 648.
According to the Department of Health, 84 thousand 899 people have been treated in different hospitals across the country with symptoms of measles since March 15. Ten thousand 248 people have been diagnosed with measles.
Experts say it is possible to reduce the infection and mortality rate by strengthening children’s vaccination programs, quickly identifying the infected and complying with hygiene rules. The health department also urged people to be careful and seek immediate treatment if they show suspected symptoms.
