The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and District Magistrates in 11 districts of the country. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (March 29) .
This information was given in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Aminul Islam . It has been mentioned that this order, issued in the public interest, will be effective immediately.
The districts that have been appointed new DCs are Rajshahi , Chuadanga , Khulna , Madaripur , Brahmanbaria , Chandpur , Habiganj , Narsingdi , Meherpur , Lalmonirhat and Bandarban .
According to the notification, officials of the rank of Deputy Secretary working in various ministries and departments have been posted as DCs in these districts. Among them, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Kazi Shahidul Islam has been given responsibility in Rajshahi, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Lutfun Nahar has been given responsibility in Chuadanga, Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department Hoore Jannat has been given responsibility in Khulna and Deputy Secretary of the Finance Department Morjina Akhter has been given responsibility in Madaripur.
Besides, Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Government Printing Press Abu Sayeed has been appointed as DC in Brahmanbaria, Deputy Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Department Ahmed Ziaur Rahman has been appointed as DC in Chandpur, Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Department G. M. Sarfaraz has been appointed as DC in Habiganj, and Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Israt Jahan Keya has been appointed as DC in Narsingdi.
On the other hand, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, artist Rani Roy, has been given the responsibility of Meherpur, Deputy Secretary of the Power Development Board (Secretary) Muh. Rashedul Haque Pradhan has been given the responsibility of Lalmonirhat, and Deputy Project Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Land Management Automation Project Md. Saniul Ferdous has been given the responsibility of Bandarban.
