BNP Standing Committee member and political advisor to the Prime Minister Mirza Abbas has been admitted to the hospital after falling ill. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited him at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
Sources said that the Prime Minister visited the hospital after Friday prayers to inquire about the physical condition of Mirza Abbas.
Earlier, Mirza Abbas suddenly fell ill during Iftar on Wednesday. An official from his media team said that he temporarily lost consciousness while drinking water. Later, as his condition did not improve, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital late at night.
After news of Mirza Abbas’s illness spread, leaders of various political parties visited the hospital to inquire about him. On Thursday night, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Dr. Shafiqur Rahman visited the hospital to talk to his family and inquire about the progress of his treatment.
Apart from this, BNP Secretary General and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, party standing committee member Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, and standing committee member and Minister for Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain also visited the hospital to inquire about Mirza Abbas’s physical condition.
