BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman said that the state cannot avoid responsibility for the victims of disappearances and murders. He claimed that BNP cannot be suppressed through conspiracy and that if BNP comes to power, roads will be named after those who died in disappearances and murders.
He made these remarks at a view-sharing meeting organized at the China Friendship International Conference Center in the capital on Saturday. Tarique Rahman said that Bangladesh is moving towards democracy and the establishment of a democratic government is essential to fulfill the demands of justice and trial for those who lost their loved ones under authoritarian rule.
The meeting organized by ‘Amra BNP Paribas’ and ‘Mayer Dak’ with members of the families of the victims of disappearances and murders was attended by top BNP leaders and relatives of the missing leaders.
