BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has called for avoiding the politics of revenge and revenge and pursuing democratic and public welfare politics. He said that everyone must work unitedly, forgetting their differences, to keep the democratic process going at any cost.
He said this at a greetings exchange with journalists at a hotel in Banani in the capital on Saturday (January 10). Tarique Rahman said that the experience of August 5 has shown the terrible consequences of the politics of violence and revenge. Therefore, everyone must be careful that differences do not turn into divisions.
He said that BNP does not want to return to the past and its goal is to ensure the political rights of the people. He also said that they will start their election activities by going to the people from January 22.
At that time, Tarique Rahman proposed to introduce a ‘family card’ for about 40 million families, through which housewives would receive long-term financial or food assistance. He also highlighted plans to hire about 100,000 health workers, emphasizing preventive measures in the health sector.
At the event, he called on the media to play a role in solving the problems of the country and its people through constructive criticism.
