Dr. Tasneem Zara, an independent candidate for Dhaka-9 constituency in the 13th National Parliament election, has had her cancelled nomination restored on appeal.
After a hearing held at the Election Commission auditorium on Saturday (January 10), the commission declared his nomination valid.
Earlier, Dr. Tasnim Zara’s nomination was cancelled by the returning officer. When she appealed to the Election Commission against that decision, the commission accepted it and allowed her to contest the election. As a result, she will be contesting the upcoming national elections as an independent candidate from Dhaka-9 constituency.
