BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman took the stage at the historic public reception and exchanged greetings with senior party leaders and fellow activists. He responded to the greetings of millions of people by waving his hand, and the venue instantly erupted in slogans.

Earlier, Tarique Rahman arrived in Dhaka on a Bangladesh Biman flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 11:30 am on Thursday. After exchanging pleasantries with party leaders and activists and relatives at the VIP lounge, he left for the public reception adjacent to the capital’s ’36 July Expressway’ by a pre-arranged bus.
