The US Embassy in Dhaka has warned US citizens of the possibility of large crowds and heavy traffic congestion in the capital Dhaka on Saturday surrounding the funeral of Inqilab Manch spokesman Sharif Osman Hadi.
In a warning on Friday, the embassy said that there could be massive traffic jams on important roads in the capital, including Manik Mia Avenue and surrounding areas, which could disrupt daily movement.
The message also states that even peaceful gatherings can sometimes turn into clashes or violence. In this situation, US citizens are requested to avoid large public gatherings and protests and to exercise extra caution when traveling in populated areas.
