A total of 273 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) of the Bangladesh Police have been promoted to the rank of Inspector.
The promotions were announced today, Monday, through three separate gazette notifications, signed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam. The gazettes stated that the promotions were issued in the public interest.
Among the promotions, 148 unarmed Sub-Inspectors were elevated to Inspector, 97 armed Sub-Inspectors were promoted to Inspector, and 28 Police Sergeants were promoted to Inspector in the city and traffic division.
These promotions are seen as an important step toward enhancing efficiency and responsibility within the Bangladesh Police force.
