A fire has broken out at a community center in the Kalshi Road area of Mirpur-12, Dhaka. The blaze started around 10:30 p.m. on Friday night, causing panic among local residents as flames quickly spread through the building.
According to the Fire Service, the fire originated on the sixth floor of the Bibaho Bari Community Center. Initially, four fire service units rushed to the scene to bring the flames under control, and later six more units joined, making a total of ten teams working to douse the fire.
Officials said the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be determined. The community center is located in a building adjacent to Desh Polytechnic College. Firefighting and rescue operations are currently underway.
