A low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas around October 21, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). It may later intensify into a depression.
In the weather forecast valid until 6 p.m. Monday (October 20), the Met Office said that the seasonal low lies over the southern Bay of Bengal, with its extension stretching up to the north Bay.
Light rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Chattogram division, while weather elsewhere across the country is expected to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies. Day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged throughout the country.
