BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir held a meeting with Dr. Rüdiger Lotz, the newly appointed German Ambassador to Bangladesh.
The meeting took place on Thursday (October 9) at around 10:30 a.m. at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan.
Among those present were BNP Standing Committee members and members of the Chairperson’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee — Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan and Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury. Also in attendance were the Acting Chairman’s International Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir, and BNP Organizing Secretary and Special Assistant to the Chairperson on Foreign Policy Shama Obaid.
According to party sources, the discussions focused on Bangladesh’s current political situation, the democratic process, the upcoming national elections, and international cooperation.
Diplomatic observers view the meeting as part of the ongoing engagement of foreign diplomats in Bangladesh’s political dialogue ahead of the national elections.
