The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across the country over the next five days. In the 120-hour forecast issued from 9:00 AM on Tuesday (16 September), it is stated that rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms will continue in various regions.
On the first day (16 September), light to moderate rainfall is expected in most areas of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Some places may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Day and night temperatures across the country are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
On the second day (17 September), most areas of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet, along with many parts of Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram, may see rain. Some locations could experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly in these regions.
On the third (18 September) and fourth day (19 September), rain is likely to continue in northern and northwestern areas, particularly Rangpur and Rajshahi. Mymensingh and Sylhet may also receive moderate to heavy rainfall. Parts of Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram may experience intermittent rainfall. Temperatures may increase slightly, but humidity will remain high due to the rainfall.
On the fifth day (20 September), northern regions, especially Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet, are expected to receive rain. Some areas of Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram may also see rainfall, with moderate to heavy showers possible in certain locations.
