In Chapainawabganj, 25 people from the Sanatan (Hindu) community have formally joined Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. On Sunday (September 14), they enrolled as primary members at a program held at the district Jamaat office.
The group was led by Shree Suman Kumar Saha, accompanied by Sukumar Paramnik, Chandan Das, Sudarshan Mondol, Bakkanath Thakur, Kanai Choudhury, Bharat Choudhury, Satish Mondol, and others. All of them are residents of Ward No. 2 under Chapainawabganj Municipality.
Confirming the matter, Jamaat central committee member and former MP Professor Latifur Rahman said, “This proves that our ideals and philosophy are becoming acceptable to people of different classes and faiths. InshaAllah, this initiative will expand further in the future.”
He added that this joining is not only organizational but also carries a new message of brotherhood and understanding.
