The Bangladesh government has strongly condemned the Houthi drone attack on the Taybah power plant in the holy city of Medina, Saudi Arabia, in a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday (October 4).
The statement said that the deliberate targeting of vital civilian infrastructure that supplies electricity to the Prophet’s Mosque is an unacceptable attack on the sanctity of Islam’s holiest sites. Such attacks are completely unacceptable.
The release also stated that the Bangladesh government has expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia’s efforts to protect its security and sovereignty.
It further states that Bangladesh firmly rejects any kind of aggressive actions that undermine regional peace and stability.
