
Six more people have died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, one thousand 608 people have been admitted to different hospitals in the country with dengue. Two of the dead were residents of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
This information was given in the regular bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday (October 3rd).
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the total death toll of dengue has risen to 249 this year with the death of six new people. Only 148 people died in September. Two dengue patients died in August, July 36, June 13, May, and two in January and February.
According to the bulletin, new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country from 8am to 8am on Saturday. The number of hospitalized patients has reached 84 thousand 369 people this year.
In the last 24 hours, 621 people have been discharged from the hospital. So far, 78 thousand people have returned home after recovering from dengue.
Among the newly admitted patients, 525 are in Dhaka division. Besides, 319 people were admitted to Chittagong division, 276 in Khulna division, 215 in Barisal, 132 in Rajshahi, 79 in Mymensingh and 62 in Rangpur.
