Eighty-four confirmed cases have been confirmed in the last twenty-four hours. The total number of measles patients stood at 17 thousand 469 people.
According to hospital admissions and clearances, 1 lakh 21 thousand 13 patients have been admitted to the hospital since March 15 and 1 lakh 16 thousand 827 have recovered and returned home.
According to the deaths, 786 children have died of measles so far. On the other hand, the confirmed number of measles deaths has risen to 99.
Health experts have put emphasis on ensuring timely vaccination of children, speedy treatment of those infected and raising public awareness.
