  • A national opinion poll conducted by the research institute The DeltaGram found that 75.3 percent of the country’s people supported Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s performance.
Seventy-five percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction in the survey, which was conducted nearly four months after the government took office, while 7.2 percent did not give any opinion.

According to the DeltaGram, the survey was conducted on three thousand adult citizens in different parts of the country from June 12 to 24. The survey used two-step level-based feasibility sample methods. The data was collected from the eight primary sample areas of the country and the total response rate was 75.7 percent.

According to a departmental analysis, the most support for the Prime Minister in the Rangpur division has been found, where the approval rate is 83.1%. On the other hand, the support rate in Dhaka division is the lowest, 70.4 percent.

According to the survey, support for the government in rural areas is higher than in the city. Seventy-eight percent of respondents in rural areas expressed satisfaction with the government’s actions, whereas the rate was 70.1 percent in urban areas.

While the support rate is close to people of almost all ages in age-based analysis, the support rate among people over the age of 60 is relatively low, which is 70.9 percent.

According to the research institute, the government gained significant public support early in its responsibilities. The report noted that after the mass uprising of 2024, the government was formed under the leadership of the BNP in the national election and the government has promised to fix the tenure of the prime minister, and various constitutional reforms, including the bicameral parliament, as part of the implementation of the National Charter in July.

According to DeltaGram, the funding, planning and implementation of the survey have been done entirely on their own initiative. Information collectors were trained for fifteen days and information on interviews, participants and communication failure information was also stored.

Seventy percent of interviews in the survey were conducted directly and 30 percent were taken via mobile phone. The support rate in the live interview was 75.8 percent, and the phone interview was 74.1 percent. According to the researchers, this difference is not statistically significant.

However, Deltagram has advised caution in interpreting the results of the department. According to the researchers, as the category-based sample is relatively small, regional results may have the potential to deviate statistical deviations. The possible error limit of the survey at the national level is said to be ±2.1 to ±2.4 percent at reliability.
