Leader of the Opposition in the Bangladesh National Assembly and Dr. Oh Song, who is the Secretary-General of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), has paid a courtesy call on Shafiqur Rahman.
The meeting was held at the opposition leader’s office at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Monday afternoon.
During the meeting, Oh Song highlighted the various initiatives of ICAPP’s activities, goals and cooperation between political parties at the international level. He said the next Standing Committee meeting of the ICAPP will be held in Mongolia and invited the Leader of the Opposition to participate there.
The meeting also discussed the international involvement of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. At the same time, as a member of the Standing Committee of ICAPP, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was also exchanged on possible issues.
ICAPP secretariat officer Park Biongchan and opposition leader foreign affairs adviser Barrister Mir Ahmad bin Qasem Arman were also present at the meeting.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere and stressed the importance of strengthening regional and international political cooperation.
