According to the latest data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 1,318 people have been infected with suspicious measles in the last 24 hours. Eighty-eight of them were infected with measles. One person died of a suspicious assault at the same time.
Health experts say regular vaccination is the most effective way to prevent measles. Parents are encouraged to ensure timely vaccinations for their children.
According to government sources, surveillance, vaccination and awareness activities are being increased to prevent the spread of the virus.
