A massive fire has broken out at a large industrial area in central Israel after a missile or drone attack from Iran .
The fire is believed to have started on Sunday at the ‘Neot Hovhab’ industrial complex after being hit by a weapon debris or a defense system interceptor.
The ‘Neot Hovhab’ industrial zone, which is home to more than 30 factories, was seen billowing thick black smoke into the sky after the incident, while sirens sounded across the country warning of a possible attack from Iran .
Israel’s Fire and Rescue Service said it was working to bring the fire under control and prevent a possible major explosion and chemical leak. The industrial area is a risky place due to the presence of hazardous and flammable materials.
In this situation, the general public has been warned not to go near the scene. In addition, residents of the area have been urged to stay indoors, keeping windows and ventilators closed, and to follow the instructions of security forces.
However, the country’s national emergency service, Magen David Adom , said that no casualties have been reported in the incident so far.
