Power and Energy Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmud Tuku has said that the public concern over the supply of fuel oil in the country is unfounded.
He said the country has adequate oil reserves and the government is taking necessary measures to maintain normal supply.
The minister made these remarks while talking to reporters at Gate 4 of the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday. He said that two more oil tankers are scheduled to arrive in the country on the 9th, which will help further stabilize the supply situation.
He also said that mobile courts will be operated from Sunday to prevent instability or excess stockpiling in the energy market. According to him, in the recent situation, various information spread on social media has created unnecessary panic among the common people.
