BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has reached Evercare Hospital in Bashundhara in the capital to meet his mother who is undergoing treatment. He went to the hospital after speaking at a public reception organized at 300 feet area in Purbachal on Thursday (December 25) afternoon.
Earlier, Tarique Rahman left for 300 feet in a special bus from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12:35 pm. Party leaders and activists standing on both sides of the road welcomed him and waved their hands. He reached the reception stage after about three hours and 15 minutes.
The plane carrying Tarique Rahman landed at Shahjalal International Airport at 11:45 pm, marking his return to the country after 17 years.
After completing the immigration process, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir welcomed him with flowers at the airport’s VIP lounge. Later, the BNP acting chairman exchanged greetings and hugged members of the party’s standing committee.
