The Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) in Chittagong has been closed indefinitely due to security concerns. All operations at the centre will remain suspended from Sunday (December 21) until further notice.
“This decision has been taken in view of the current situation,” a statement published on the IVAC website quoted the Indian Assistant High Commission as saying. New dates will be communicated later for applicants whose visa appointments were scheduled.
Those concerned believe that this temporary closure is causing some uncertainty for applicants in the visa process.
