BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has applied for a travel pass as the first formal step in the process of returning to the country.
A diplomatic source confirmed the information on Thursday (December 18) evening and said that the application was sent to the Bangladesh High Commission in the UK through another person after filling out the necessary forms.
Discussions were underway in the political arena about the possibility of Tarique Rahman, who has been in exile for a long time, returning to the country. Those concerned believe that this application for a travel pass has given new momentum to those discussions.
