The health condition of Inqilab Manch spokesman Sharif Osman bin Hadi, who is undergoing treatment in Singapore, is “extremely critical,” said the country’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. He visited Hadi at Singapore General Hospital on Wednesday night and informed the chief adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, of the latest situation over the phone.
A statement issued by the Office of the Chief Adviser said that in a phone call at around 8:45 pm, the Singaporean Foreign Minister provided details of Hadi’s treatment and current condition. He said that Hadi’s condition is still critical.
In this context, the chief advisor urged the countrymen to remain calm and requested them to pray for Hadi’s speedy recovery.
It is worth noting that Hadi has been undergoing treatment at the Singapore General Hospital since Monday after being shot during an election campaign. Last Friday, he was seriously injured in a bullet fired from a motorcycle while riding a moving rickshaw during a public meeting in the capital’s Bijoynagar area. After undergoing surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he was taken to Evercare Hospital. When his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to Singapore by air ambulance on Monday.
