Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep concern over the news of the deterioration in the physical condition of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
In a statement sent by his press wing on Friday night, he sought prayers from the countrymen.
The chief advisor said he is regularly monitoring the progress of Khaleda Zia’s treatment and has instructed the authorities concerned to ensure all necessary treatment. He said, “The government is ready to provide all kinds of assistance so that there is no shortage in Begum Zia’s treatment.”
Referring to Khaleda Zia as an “inspiration for the nation” during the democratic transition, he wished her a speedy recovery and directed that maximum coordination be maintained in healthcare.
