Popular singer Jens Suman died of a heart attack at 4 pm on Thursday at Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital in the capital. Musician Kishore Palash confirmed the news of his death.
The song ‘Ekta Chadar Hobe’ from his first solo album, Ashirbad , released in 1997, made Suman known to every corner of the country. Later, he released several popular songs including ‘Akash Kendeche’, ‘Atithi’, ‘Ashabadi’, ‘Aay Tora Aay’ and ‘Cherry’.
After a long break, he returned to music regularly this year. His sudden death has cast a shadow of grief over the music scene.
