Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A.M.M. Nasir Uddin has said that the Election Commission’s sole objective is to deliver a transparent and credible national election. He added that the Commission intends to move forward by learning from past mistakes.
Speaking on Tuesday (25 November) after a dialogue with election observation groups ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the CEC said the Commission would ensure that the election is clearly visible through the eyes of observers. He urged observers to report any irregularities and to present the true situation on the ground.
He further emphasized that no individuals affiliated with political parties may be included in observer groups, stressing that neutrality must be strictly maintained.
Calling on all stakeholders to act responsibly, the CEC said, “The Election Commission has only one agenda—to deliver a credible election to the nation.
