After creating waves in Khulna, Delupi is now set for a nationwide release. The film will hit theaters across six Multiplex & Cinema Hall on 14 November.
In its first week, Delupi will be screened at Star Cineplex (Bashundhara City Mall) and Lion Cinemas (Keraniganj) in Dhaka, Cinescope (Narayanganj), Raj Tilak Cinema Hall (Rajshahi), Grand Riverview Cineplex (Rajshahi) and MOMO IN Movie Theater (Bogra).
The film was first released in Khulna on 7 November, marking the big-screen debut of director Mohammad Touqir Islam. Touqir’s works are known for their strong local essence. In 2022, he directed Shaaticap, set in Rajshahi, for an OTT platform — a project that drew both critical and audience attention. His 2024 release Sinpaat further established him as a promising young filmmaker.
All the actors in Delupi are residents of various unions in Khulna. The cast includes Chironjit Biswas, Aditi Roy, Rudra Roy and Md Zakir Hossain, among others.
The film has already received a warm response from audiences in Khulna, where it was screened at Liberty Cinema Hall and the District Shilpakala Academy. Theater authorities noted that Delupi has generated an unusually strong response for a local film outside the Eid season.
The promotional campaign for Delupi has also stood out for its creativity. From the name reveal to the release date announcement, premiere events, and nationwide promotion in both Dhaka and Khulna — every step has reflected the team’s unique approach.
