A Malonch transport bus caught fire in Sutrapur, Dhaka, on Tuesday around 6:00 pm. A unit of the Fire Service rushed to the scene and quickly brought the fire under control. However, the exact cause of the fire is still unknown.
Rafi Al Faruk, an officer from the Fire Service control room, told reporters that an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
Earlier, on Monday night, several other buses in the capital also caught fire. Two buses in Jatrabari and one in Uttara were affected. Additionally, reports indicated that three more buses caught fire throughout the day on Monday.
