For overall security reasons, entry of outsiders has been prohibited in the Supreme Court and International Crimes Tribunal areas. The restriction was announced on Sunday (November 9) through a notice signed by Md. Atikus Samad, Deputy Registrar (Administration and Justice) of the High Court Division.
According to the notice, the Supreme Court of Bangladesh is the highest institution of the judiciary, where the Chief Justice and other judges conduct important judicial proceedings. It also holds files of numerous significant cases of national importance.
Recently, it has been observed that the National Eidgah field, owned by the Supreme Court, and the area near the main gate used by the Chief Justice for entry, have seen an unusual increase in the movement of unidentified and outsider individuals. This situation poses a potential threat to the security of the Supreme Court and the International Crimes Tribunal.
To ensure security, entry of all outsiders has therefore been completely restricted in the Supreme Court compound, the International Crimes Tribunal, the Attorney General’s Office, the Supreme Court Bar Association building, and surrounding areas, including the National Eidgah field.
