Following the third phase of the voter list update, the total number of voters in Bangladesh has risen to 12,76,12,384 (127.6 million). Election Commission (EC) Secretary Akhtar Ahmed shared the information with reporters on Sunday (November 2).
According to the EC secretary, there are 6,47,60,382 male voters, 6,28,50,072 female voters, and 1,230 transgender voters in the country.
He further stated that between September 1 and October 31, a total of 13,04,880 new voters were added during the update process.
The secretary added that the final voter list will be published soon after the resolution of all claims and objections.
