That announcement was set in motion on Tuesday, October 21, when construction workers at the $1 billion Miami Freedom Park Stadium, near Miami International Airport, were told that work might be briefly disrupted the following day.
On Wednesday, the workers discovered the reason for the interruption—Inter Miami co-owner and global football icon David Beckham, along with Lionel Messi himself, arrived at the construction site. The duo took part in a video shoot that would serve as the official global announcement of Messi’s new deal with Inter Miami.
Through this video, Inter Miami introduced Messi’s new contract, marking what is believed to be the final major signing of his illustrious football career.
