The Election Commission has finalized a total of 42,761 polling centers across 300 parliamentary constituencies for the 13th National Parliament election. Senior Secretary of the EC, Akhtar Ahmed, shared this information with journalists on Monday in front of his office at the Election Commission building in Agargaon, Dhaka.
He stated that in these 300 constituencies across 64 districts, 115,137 polling booths have been allocated for men and 129,602 for women, bringing the total number of polling booths to 244,649.
The Senior Secretary also mentioned that there are initially 14 temporary polling centers, which will have around 12,000 booths in total. On average, each center will accommodate about 3,000 voters. The numbers may be adjusted later if necessary.
