In Dhaka, a total of 2,509 cases were filed over two days for violations of traffic laws. Many offenders were fined during the operations conducted by the DMP Traffic Division.
On Thursday and Friday, the Traffic Division carried out special drives across the city. On Thursday, 1,721 cases were filed, 333 vehicles were impounded, and 90 were taken on wreckers. On Friday, 788 cases were registered, 201 vehicles were impounded, and 31 were taken on wreckers.
In a statement on Saturday, the DMP Media and Public Relations Division said that the Traffic Division’s operations to maintain traffic discipline in the capital will continue.
