Government employees have enjoyed several long holidays this year. Most recently, they had a four-day break during the Durga Puja festival. Now, another long holiday is coming up at the end of the year.
According to the government holiday calendar, there are no public holidays left in October or November. However, there are two general holidays in December—Victory Day on Tuesday, December 16, and Christmas Day on Thursday, December 25. Since Christmas is followed by the regular weekend on Friday and Saturday, government employees will enjoy a three-day consecutive holiday.
Earlier this year, government workers enjoyed the longest holidays during the two Eids—nine days for Eid-ul-Fitr and ten days for Eid-ul-Azha.
After the recent four-day break for Durga Puja, this upcoming Christmas holiday will give government employees yet another chance to relax before the year ends.
