In this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, none of the students from 202 educational institutions across the country have passed.
The information was revealed on Wednesday (October 16) at a press conference held at the office of the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Education by Professor Dr. Khondoker Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and the Dhaka Education Board.
He said that in 2024, the number of institutions with a 100 percent failure rate was 65, which has now increased to 202.
This year, the average pass rate across 11 education boards stood at 58.83 percent — nearly 19 percent lower than last year.
