A massive fire broke out at Aysha Clothing Limited, a readymade garment factory in the Jamgora area of Ashulia, Savar. The incident occurred around 12:00 pm on Monday (October 6).
Upon receiving the news, nine units of the fire service rushed to the spot and began efforts to bring the blaze under control.
According to the fire service, army personnel have also joined the rescue operation. However, the cause of the fire and the extent of damage are yet to be determined. No casualties have been confirmed so far.
Sabuj Islam, a firefighter from Jirabo Modern Fire Service, said three units from Jirabo initially started the operation. Later, six more units, including from DEPZ Fire Service, joined the effort. Due to the intensity of the fire, firefighters are facing difficulties in controlling it.
