The Central Intelligence Cell (CIC) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has seized a locker belonging to former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Pubali Bank’s Motijheel branch.
On Wednesday (September 10), CIC Director General Ahsan Habib confirmed the matter. He said the locker, located at Pubali Bank in Sena Kalyan Bhaban, was registered under Sheikh Hasina’s name. Of its two keys, one remains with her. A CIC team seized the locker earlier in the morning.
According to NBR sources, the locker may contain gold jewelry and important documents. However, nothing can be confirmed yet. Officials said the seizure was made based on intelligence reports.
