The health condition of Gono Odhikar Parishad president and former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur has slightly deteriorated. On doctors’ advice, he needs to be kept in a completely quiet environment for now. Therefore, party members and well-wishers have been urged not to crowd the hospital.
This information was shared in a post from Nur’s Facebook page on Friday (September 5). The post stated that the required environment is being disrupted due to the presence of too many visitors. Hence, everyone has been requested to pray for his recovery from their respective places.
Earlier, on the night of August 29, more than fifty leaders and activists, including Nur, were injured in a clash between Jatiya Party (JaPa) and Gono Odhikar Parishad in Bijoynagar, Dhaka. Seriously injured, Nur was first taken to Islami Bank Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment in a VIP cabin in the old building of DMCH.
