At the grand military parade held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China unveiled a series of new and advanced weapons. Analysts note that the event was not only a display of military strength but also a strategic marketing move aimed at the global arms market.
Among the most talked-about weapons were the massive unmanned underwater vehicle AJX002, capable of diving 20 meters deep; AI-powered stealth attack drones; the intercontinental nuclear missile Dongfeng-5; a four-legged combat robot named Wolf; the LY-1 laser weapon mounted on an armored truck; and the much-anticipated Dongfeng-61 hypersonic missile.
Experts believe China is prioritizing the development of its missile and rocket forces as a key deterrent to counter U.S. naval supremacy. They argue that carrier strike groups could become increasingly vulnerable to missile attacks.
On the international stage, the parade is being interpreted not just as a showcase of power, but also as a clear message about China’s future defense strategy.
