Born conjoined, the twins Moni and Mukta from Birganj have celebrated a remarkable milestone, stepping into their 17th year on August 22nd. Their incredible journey from being surgically separated at the Dhaka Shishu Hospital in 2010 to leading independent lives is a testament to medical marvel and human resilience. To mark this special occasion, their family is celebrating with a homely gathering in their village of Palpara, featuring a cake-cutting ceremony and religious hymns, as shared by their grateful father, Joy Prokash Pal.
The twins, who are now students in the tenth grade at Jharobari Dwi-Mukhi High School, expressed their simple wishes for good health and success in their studies from everyone. Looking ahead, they share a unified dream of becoming doctors to serve humanity, a poignant ambition inspired by their own childhood saved by medical professionals. Their story continues to be an inspiring beacon of hope and possibility.
