The Election Commission (EC) will publish the draft list of polling stations for the upcoming national parliamentary election on September 10. Claims and objections regarding this draft list can be submitted until September 25. This schedule was announced in a letter signed by EC Deputy Secretary Mahbub Alam Shah, with the final list of polling stations scheduled for publication on October 20.
The letter from the Commission stated that the law mandates the publication of the polling station list in an extra edition of the Bangladesh Gazette 25 days before the election. In preparation for the 13th National Parliament election, the area-wise draft list is being prepared according to the established guidelines for setting up polling stations. Following its publication, objections and claims from the public and relevant stakeholders will be collected and reviewed.
According to the approved timeline, the draft list will be published on September 10, and the deadline for submitting any objections is September 25. The EC will then settle all received claims and objections by October 12. The probable final list of polling stations will be officially published on October 20, thereby concluding the process of designating voting centers for the next national election.
