Filmmaker Apu Biswas and ‘Shikar’ have been spared from the big danger while shooting in Nepal amid a terrible natural disaster. He said his return to the country was the experience of the horror and the suffering of the people.
The shooting of the film ‘Vicher’ was going on in Pokhara. Meanwhile, there have been reports of sudden floods and landslides in various parts of Nepal. The entire unit decided to stop shooting and return home safely due to the disaster.
Apu Biswas said that the disaster took place on the hilly road where they were planning to go to Kathmandu on August 26. Their journey was August 27th. In just one day, they managed to avoid serious danger.
Returning to the country on Friday night, Apu said, “This is the infinite mercy of Allah that we were supposed to move with the bus on the 27th, not the 26th.” He said he was still recovering from the incident.
Tourists from different countries, including Bangladesh, have been stranded in the Nepal disaster and many have not yet been found. The loss of his family has deeply inflicted him.
“I can’t explain what I have seen in Nepal,” he said.
Shooting for human reasons
Apu Biswas has found that continuing the shooting in the midst of people’s suffering is unacceptable from a humanitarian point of view. He decided to postpone the shooting with the team.
In the words of the actress, “In such a terrible situation, shooting of the song looks extremely inhumane in the midst of the suffering of people.”
The road damaged by the disaster may be closed for the next 15 to 20 days, he added. As a result, the unit of the film ‘Physher’ had to return to the country without completing the shooting. If the situation is normal, a new shooting schedule will be set.
Meanwhile, rescue efforts are continuing in various parts of the country following the sudden floods and landslides in Nepal. There is also a growing concern about the plight of the affected people as well as the missing tourists.
