Actor and chairman of Safe Road Chai (Nischa) Ilias Kanchan will return to London tomorrow for the next phase of brain tumor treatment. He is scheduled to leave Dhaka on a flight at 10am on Wednesday.
His son, Mirazul Moin, said this. His wife and son-in-law Ariful Islam Collins will be with Ilias Kanchan.
Ilias Kanchan will rest for about a week when he arrives in London. After that, the next phase of treatment will start after the necessary examinations. She will be staying at her daughter Ima Islam’s house in Barking, East London. The treatment will continue at Mount Vernon Hospital.
Ilias Kanchan underwent brain surgery at a London hospital in August last year. Although doctors were able to remove a large part of the tumor, it was not possible to completely remove the location of the brain as it is close to the very sensitive and important nerve.
He underwent chemotherapy and oral therapy for three consecutive months as part of his long-term treatment after surgery. He underwent more than sixty chemotherapy for treatment five days a week. After completing three months of oral therapy in the first phase, he took another three months of oral therapy in the second phase.
Ilias Kanchan’s son Joy said the doctors were satisfied with his current condition. The tumor has become very small as a result of treatment. With the completion of the chemotherapy phase, the doctors are now thinking about a new treatment method.
Upon returning to London, the necessary tests, including CT scans, MRIs, will be carried out. The doctors will determine the type of treatment after reviewing the results of the test.
Ilias Kanchan returned to the country on August 3rd. During his stay in the country, many colleagues from the film industry met him. He also attended the 11th Nischar rally held at Shilpakala Academy in the capital on August 7th.
Regarding his physical condition on Sunday night, Ilias Kanchan said he was feeling a little more relieved after returning home. It’s nice to meet and talk to a lot of people. He prayed for everyone to return to the country after completing his treatment.
