The number of measles continues across the country. Two more children have died of measles in the last two hours. At the same time, 946 new cases of measles and symptoms have been identified. This information was given in the regular measles situation report of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday (July 9th).
According to the report, a total of two children died in Dhaka and Sylhet divisions in the last one day. However, there were no deaths at the time. As a result, the total number of deaths from measles and symptoms across the country from March 15 to July 9 this year has increased to 747.
In the last 24 hours, 128 people have been diagnosed with measles. At the same time, 818 people were found with measles. In all, since March 15th this year, 1 lakh 8 thousand 998 people have been diagnosed with measles. Thirteen thousand measles have also been identified in the body of 13 thousand 198 people.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 92 thousand 31 people have been admitted to different hospitals in the country with measles and symptoms in the same period. Eighty-eight thousand of them have recovered and left the hospital.
Health experts have urged children to take immediate medical advice and follow the necessary hygiene rules to avoid infection if they participate in the vaccination program to prevent measles, fever and rashes.
