The outbreak of measles in the country is still at an alarming level. Six more children have died of measles in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 789 new cases of measles have been identified. This information was given in the regular report of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday (June 27th).
According to the report, four children died of measles in Mymensingh division in the last one day. Two more children were also killed in Dhaka and Khulna divisions. As a result, the total number of measles and symptoms across the country has increased from March 15 to 708.
Forty-five of the new cases have been confirmed. Seventy-four other measles were found. A total of 11 thousand measles have been detected by testing in the bodies of 594 people since March 15 this year. At the same time, a total of 98 thousand 266 people were infected with measles.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), a total of 81 thousand people were hospitalized with symptoms and symptoms of measles from March 15 to Saturday. Seventy-eight thousand of them were discharged from the hospital after treatment.
Health experts are stressing the need to strengthen vaccinations in children, speedy detection and ensure speedy treatment of the victims.
