Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has arrived in Beijing by high-speed (bullet) train after a visit to Dalian in China. He arrived in Beijing at 5pm local time on Wednesday (June 24th).
He is accompanied by his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman
Earlier in the morning, the Prime Minister attended the ‘Summer Davos’ conference of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Dalian. Heads of government, policymakers, businessmen, academics and media representatives from different countries of the world participated in the event organized at the Dalian International Conference Centre.
The 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions Conference was attended by top leaders of Guinea, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Mongolia and Montenegro. More than one thousand 700 delegates from more than ninety countries and regions participated in it.
According to government sources, the Prime Minister’s participation in the conference will expand new investment, trade and employment opportunities for Bangladesh as well as create a field of international experience and knowledge exchange.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived in the Chinese city of Dalian on a three-day state visit after a visit to Malaysia on June 22. He will currently attend bilateral meetings and other programmes in Beijing.
